Former Transport Minister Charlotte Atkins, MP. Supports Funding for NET Phase Two

Former Transport Minister Charlotte Atkins has signed a parliamentary motion supporting funding for phase two of NET. The early day motion (EDM) placed by Nottingham South MP Alan Simpson congratulates NET for its huge success and urges funding for phase two (the motion can be read here).

Charlotte Atkins when transport minister met representations from both pro and anti tram groups in November 2004 at the Department for Transport. Both sides were allowed to put their case for and against the scheme at meetings arranged by our MP, (and BACIT member) Dr Nick Palmer.
