Beeston and Chilwell for Integrated Transport

Beeston and Chilwell for Integrated Transport is a community group campaigning for the development of the best possible tram system for Beeston & Chilwell.

We believe the tram will enchance residents' quality of life, bring benefit to businesses and their employees, improve the local environment and ensure the future prosperity of the area.

On March 8 2004 Alistair Darling opened phase 1 of Nottingham Express Transit between Nottingham and Hucknall. This has since proved to be amazingly successful carrying 1.2m passengers above forecast in the first year. It was always planned to extend the network and Alistair Darling later that day said “To do nothing is not an option, nothing is what we're too good at doing” Nevertheless...
